Toshiaki has his background in company investigation: having been in a research field investigating corporate management in Japan, he is an expert in healthy management. The area of business he chose to apply his expertise was in copyright clearance services. He started Blue Moon, Ltd. in 2011, and along with competent staff members, has been providing agency services to Japanese educational institutions. Literary Agency Japan was started in 2014 to represent overseas copyright holders.

He is also a world-renowned collector of air sickness bags.
